Lady Penguins Routed by Oregon Tech

Molly Howard had a hit and a walk in the Lady Penguins losses to OIT.

BRISBANE, Calif. — The Dominican University of California wome's softball team struggled mightily on Thursday evening against NAIA Oregon Tech. The Lady Penguins fells 12-0 in six innings and 17-0 in five innings at Mission Blue Field in non-conference play.

With the loss, the Lady Penguins fall to 1-12 while the Hustlin' Owls improve to 12-5.

Junior Jill Rizo and sophomore Molly Howard each had a hit and a walk in the losses for Dominican. Freshmen Dominique Perry and Rachel Santiago and junior Kellie Hislop each had a hit.

The Dominican women are back in Brisbane on Saturday, March 12 when they'll be the visiting team against Academy of Art University. First pitch of the PacWest doubleheader is slated for 12:00 p.m.
