SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Dominican University of California's Ria Falealili led all volleyball players with 13 kills on Thursday night but it wasn't enough, as Academy of Art University earned the sweep, 25-11, 25-19, 25-12, in Pacific West Conference action.

With the loss, Dominican finishes the 2010 PacWest campaign 0-16 while the Urban Knights stand at 9-6 with one match to go.

Sophomore middle Ashlee Sand recorded a pair of block solos and added a block assist in the effort. Freshman Jessica Jones led the Lady Penguins (3-25) with 10 digs and fellow freshman Lauren Clark added Dominican's lone pair of service aces. In contrast, AAU placed 13 service aces.

The Urban Knights (14-11) were led by senior Dan Yang's 12 kills and Leinani Keanini's 13 digs.

Dominican concludes the 2010 season at home on Friday night at the Conlan Center when Cal State Dominguez Hills visits for a non-conference match. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m. with a pregame ceremony to honor senior setter Brooke Swingle in her final match in the black, gold, and white.
