Dominican Women are swept away in day 2 of PacWest Classic

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's volleyball team had no easier time on Saturday, dropping both matches in the final day of the California Clash at San Francisco State University. CSU Monterey Bay (4-2) swept away the Lady Penguins in match one 25-15, 25-18, and 25-18. Powerhouse Chico State (7-1) handed the Lady Penguins their third straight shutout, defeating Dominican 25-15, 25-14, and 25-17.  Dominican stands at 1-7 at the day's end.

Tianna Tuatagaloa accounted for nine of the team's 25 kills against CSUMB. Cayla Morphew added three service aces in the loss to the Sea Otters.

Dominican was again limited to just 25 kills for the match against Chico State. Gabby Pecora led the team with nine kills.
