The Lady Penguins (6-23/1-14) got out to a terrific start, almost taking the first set wire-to-wire until point 23, when the Antelopes caught up to tie the score. However, two GCU (20-8/9-6) attack errors gave the first set to Dominican.

A
Tianna Tuatagaloa service ace capped a 4-1 Lady Penguin run and set the pace for set three. A 7-2 run that included a
Brooke Swingle service ace and two Tuatagaloa kills gave Dominican the third set 25-19.
The Lady Penguins ran out of steam down the stretch though and sets four and five went to the Antelopes. GCU took an early 9-3 lead in the fourth set and used a 7-3 run to push the match to the final set. GCU raced to the 8-3 lead and recorded four straight points to take the match with the 15-8 win in set five.
