HILO, HI — First place University of Hawai'i at Hilo was too much for the Dominican University of California women's volleyball team on Saturday, as the Vulcans cruised to a three-set sweep, 25-19, 25-19, 25-11.

The Lady Penguins were limited to 21 kills as a team. No Dominican player reached double digit kills, with Gabby Pecora posting the most with nine.

Hilo's Kawen Cubi-Otineru was one of three Vulcans in double digit kills and led all players with 11.

Brooke Swingle posted 18 assists for Dominican to 41 assists by Hilo's Katie Swenson's.

Swingle recorded four of the team's five service aces.

The Dominican women return to the mainland and will travel to Notre Dame de Namur University on Friday. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
