After a standout multi-sport career at Bakersfield’s Shafter High School, Coach Chambers competed in basketball and track at Bakersfield College then played basketball and softball at Menlo College. She played basketball at Cal State Bakersfield where, in 2002, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Her athletic career also included a tryout with the USA National Handball Team at Lake Placid, N.Y. Chamber’s coaching career started as a junior in high school coaching fifth grade girl’s basketball. She eventually coached high school basketball and introduced Bakersfield Heat club team to Golden Valley High School. Chambers then became the assistant basketball coach and recruiting coordinator at Cal State Monterey Bay before becoming Dominican’s head coach for the 2007-2008 season. In 2008, Chambers earned her Master of Arts in Sport Management at USF.
