SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – Dominican women's basketball player Natalie Diaz has been named to the 2017-2018 D2CCA All-West Region first team.

Diaz was joined on the first team by fellow PacWest standouts Abbigail Goodsell from Azusa Pacific and Roya Rustamzada from Point Loma. Alisha Breen from Montana State-Billings was named the D2CCA All-West Region Player of the Year.

Diaz earned the PacWest Player of the Year Award after averaging 24.1 points per game to lead the conference, to go along with 8.9 rebounds per game. She was also named to the PacWest all-tournament team after finishing with 27 points and 11 rebounds in the Penguins' first round win over California Baptist, followed by a 25-point outing in Dominican's semifinal loss to Hawaii Pacific.
