IRVINE, Calif. — Dominican University of California junior Sandra Ikeora has been named a member of the seven-player Preseason All-PacWest Team ahead of the 2016-17 season.

Ikeora was an All-PacWest Second Team selection and led the Penguins to a PacWest Championships semifinals appearance. She played in 28 of 29 games and made 21 starts. Ikeora tallied nine double-doubles and averaged 14.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, and also averaged 2.1 blocks and 1.3 steals per game. the 5-foot-11 forward shot 52.5 percent (158-of-301).

The Penguins were picked to finish sixth in the 14-team conference, based on a vote of the league's coaches released Thursday. The top six teams advance to the 2017 PacWest Women's Basketball Championship returns, March 2-4 at CU Arena in Irvine, California.
